Celebrate Scratch Day with Nucleus Learning Network. Join this free beginner workshop geared to pairs of adults and children (for children 7 years old and up). Bring your own laptop and get introduced to Scratch, a free computer programming language for children. No experience necessary! Adults are expected to stay with children and learn along with the whole class. This class is for beginners with little to no experience with Scratch or computer programming. We will be creating a simple animation and introduce you to the world of Scratch.
Who is this workshop for?: We are inviting children and adults to register together in pairs. Children must be at least 7 years old. No child or adult programming experience required. This is for beginning Scratchers; will be covering Scratch basics. Adults are expected to stay and work along side their children - this is not a drop-off class!
What do I need to bring?: Participants need to bring one laptop per pair of adult/child participants. Laptops must be wi-fi enabled, or have the Scratch Desktop Version installed in advance of the workshop: https://scratch.mit.edu/scratch2download/
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?: If you have any questions, feel free to email Emily at firstname.lastname@example.org
