Nucleus learning Network
At Nucleus Learning Network, we recognize that Austin has a vibrant education scene but we believe that our diverse learning landscape could be more collaborative. With dozens of libraries and museums, hundreds of schools, and over 1,000 education focused nonprofits in the Austin metro area, strong successful partnerships are few and far between.
We believe that the best education comes from a community where innovative learning is accessible, collaborative, and highly connected.
Nucleus Network is a backbone organization focused on connecting educators, learners, and mentors by facilitating sustainable partnerships that will result in more ambitious, high-quality educational experiences that would be impossible to accomplish without cooperation.
At Nucleus Network, we are connecting innovative learning because we believe that together, we can do more. If you agree, contact us at email@example.com to tell us about what you are working on and how we can accomplish great things together.
Our mission is to empower learners, educators, and mentors to enhance Austin's innovative learning community.
Who we are:
Nucleus Network was founded by Sarah Morris and Emily Weerts. Sarah and Emily met about a decade ago when they were both working at the Austin Children's Museum as technology educators, where they quickly bonded over a shared love of teaching, programming robots, and finding places to acquire breakfast tacos in Austin.
Emily Weerts is a seasoned program manager with experience in education, nonprofit, and arts program coordination. She has extensive experience in STEM education, arts education, and community building. Emily originally hails from Davis, California.
Sarah Morris is a librarian and educator with experience in K-12, higher education, nonprofits, and museums. Sarah specializes in digital, information, and media literacy education, STEM education, and curriculum design. Sarah grew up in Abilene, Texas and spent a few years braving Chicago winters before returning to Austin.
